The casino glossary is a useful tool for those people who are not familiar with the language used in casino's there are lots of terms that although they have an every day meaning within a casino they can sometimes mean something totally different.

Agent - A Cheats side kick.
Aggregate Limit - The maximum amount paid out in a Keno game, about $50,000.
Ante - In poker, What a player must bet before the cards are dealt.
American Wheel - Roulette wheel with 0 & 00 numbers
Any Craps - A craps bet where you bet that the shooter will roll either a two, three or twelve on the next roll
Any Seven - A craps bet where you bet the shooter will roll a seven on the next roll.
Automatic Shuffler - Machines on Blackjack tables, also some poker tables that shuffle cards providing uninterrupted playing but eliminates the ability to count cards.
Back Line - a craps bet where you bet that the shooter will lose.
Back the Bet - Making a free odds bet at craps
Back in - Poker term meaning entering the betting after first passing or checking to the raiser.
Bank - The person who covers the bets in any game.
Bank Hand - The second of the two hands at the Baccarat Game.
Bar - What casino's may do if you become an Expert player or will do if you cheat.
Barber Pole - When you stack your chips indiscriminately so that values and colours aren't consistent.
Basic Strategy - Mainly a System of playing blackjack that takes advantage of the most favourable rules for the player can also be used to describe favourable playing in other games.
Beat - To win money by cheating.
Beef - No not what you're having for dinner but a dispute over the conduct of any casino game.
Behind The Line - Betting free odds. The bet is placed behind the player's pass line bet.
Bet Against The Dice - A Craps bet that the shooter will lose.
Bet With The Dice - A Craps bet that the shooter will win.
Bet Blind - To bet without looking at your cards.
Bevels - Dice that have been shaved on the corners to favour certain numbers.
Biased Wheels - An imperfection in a roulette wheel that favours certain numbers or section. Not relevent online.
Black Action - A player using black, $100 chips
Black Book - A list of people excluded from a casino.
Blackjack - Used in the game of Blackjack to describe a natural, i.e. an Ace and Ten value card.
Bluff - Attempting to win a hand of poker with an inferior hand.
Book - Confirmation of a bet someone wishes to make
Bonus Poker - A form of Jacks or Better video poker that offers favourable payouts on certain fours-of-a-kind
Bonusing - A technique of rewarding slot machine players with additional random secondary jackpots not related to the actual game play.
Boxcars - In craps a roll of 12 aka Hobo Bet.
Boxman - The supervisor of the craps table who sits in the centre.
Break - In Blackjack to bust i.e. where your cards total over 21.
Break Down a Bet - To seperate the various chips in a bet prior to paying to ensure accuracy.
Brushing - Substituting cards or dice in a game
Bull - In poker another name for an Ace
Burn - When a dealer in Blackjack or Baccarat discards one or more cards from a freshly shuffled deck.
Bust Out Joint - A casino that cheats players.
Buy In - process of buying chips prior to play
Cage - Where the cashier sits in the casino
Call - In poker, to match a bet with the same amount or to see
Call Bet - Verbally made bet without money being put on the table.
Caller - A Baccarat term for the dealer who stands on the opposite side of the table from the chip rack and annouces the results of the hands aka the Croupier.
C & E - A craps bet that in one roll any craps will be rolled (Two, Three or Twelve)
Capping a Bet - Adding one or more chips to a winning bet after a decision has been made usually when the dealers attention is diverted aka Past Posting.
Card Counting - a method of playing blackjack where the player keeps track of the cards already dealt in order to gain advantage over the casino with the knowledge of the cards remaining in the deck.
Carousel - A section of slot machines grouped together usually of the same type and sometimes linked to a progressive jackpot.
Case Bet - The last of a player's money risked in one bet.
Casino Manager - The person in charge of the whole casino for all shifts
Catch - In Keno the numbers selected by a player which correspond to the numbers selected by the keno machine and posted on the keno board.
Centrefield - This is the name given to nine in craps and also the centre betting position at a blackjack table with even betting areas.
Change Person - A Sot machine attendant who changes currency for tokens or coins
Chasing - Chasing your losses by Betting more money in an attempt to recoup
Checks - another name for Casino Chips
Check Racker - In roulette the second dealer who assists the dealer in making payouts and gathering up losing bets.
Chop - A game in which the decisions aren't consistent with no one side dominating
Chunk - To bet a large amount of chips at one time, often with no regard for denomination
Clapper - A piece of leather or plastic at the top of the Big Six Wheel that when stopped in a particular slot, signifies the winner.
Clocking - Tracking the results of any casino game
Cocked dice - When dice land so they are leaning against some object and are not flat on the table
Cold - When you endure a long losing streak or a table/deck of cards/dice that keeps beating the players.
Come Out - The first roll at craps that determines the point.
Commission - The house percentage of winning bets at baccarat/pai gow poker or buy in bets at craps.
Comp - short for complimentary these are player rewards for being regular customers or Action players
Counter - A blackjack player using card counting techniques.
Craps - the totals of two, three or twelve, when rolled on the come-out roll, causes the shooter to lose.
Crap Out - Throwing a two three or twelve on the come out roll
Credit Line - The amount the casino is willing to lend you.
Crew - Attendants in charge of a craps or baccarat game.
Crimp - to bend a card at the corner so it becomes recognisable the next time it's dealt.
Croupier - The casino employee who conducts the game specifically in craps or baccarat.
Curator - The baccarat player who is designated to deal the cards.
Cut Card - A yellow card that is inserted into the deck to remind the dealer that the cards need shuffling at this point.
Cut The Deck - To divide the deck before dealing usually done by a player with the cut card.
