Texas Holdem probably the most popular online card game. (aka : Hold em.) Played at every online casino this game has been turned into cult status with the advent of televised poker tournaments and great players like Doyle Brunson Joe Hackem, Phil Helmuth Jr, the great dane Gus Hansen and many more.
These guys make it look easy, trust me it isn't so we're going to give you some top tips you'd be mad not to use them.
The game starts with two forced bets known as the Big and Little blind bets.
The aim of these bets are to force some action.
The little blind is the player immediately to the left of the dealer and the big blind sits on this players immediate left.
After the blinds have been posted each player is then dealt two cards face down. At this point each player checks his/her cards and decides wether to bet or fold. Each player then either has to match the big blind or raise the bet.
Once this has been done, three community cards are dealt face up in the center of the table this is known as the flop.
Each player still in the betting can use these cards to make up his hand of five cards, and each player then makes a further bet or fold depending upon the action.
Once this round of betting is finished a further community card is dealt face up in the center of the table this is known as the turn you may use this card to make up your hand and we then have a further round of betting.
After this round of betting the fifth and final card is dealt this is known as the river and once again it is followed by a round of betting.
When all the betting is over we have the showdown, each player selects his best five cards from the seven available.
The player with the strongest hand wins. Beware that the majority of the strong cards are shared by everyone.
It usually takes two pairs or better to win this game.
Tip No 1: - Remember The Flop, The Turn, The River, Showdown.
This is the order the deals come in.)
Tip No 2: - Know when to Hold em, know when to Fold-em, daft as it sounds you will win more by folding than by playing a losing hand.

Tip No 3: Texas Hold Em is a Seven card game if you have a low pair in your hand and the flop isn't kind to you think very seriously about folding.
Tip No 4: Don't go all in unless you really believe your hand can't be beat
Tip No 5: Don't over focus on the strength of your hand try to work out your opponents hand.
